Real-World Business Training in Greece for Obchodná Akadémia Vranov Students
As part of their Erasmus+ mobility journey, students from Obchodná Akadémia Vranov in Slovakia arrived in Thessaloniki for a two-week program combining professional training and cultural exploration. Hosted by Ipodomi, the program was tailored to match their field of study and allowed participants to experience real working conditions while getting to know the cultural richness of Northern Greece.
Internship Experience
The students, specializing in economics, undertook their internships at local accounting offices in Thessaloniki. Under the guidance of skilled professionals, they engaged in daily accounting operations, learned about the Greek tax system, and gained insight into administrative processes in a business environment.
This immersive experience helped them bridge the gap between theory and practice, sharpening both their professional and interpersonal skills. By working in real-world settings, they enhanced their understanding of economics and developed confidence in applying their knowledge in an international context.
Cultural Experience
To complement their practical training, the students participated in a variety of cultural activities. They visited key historical and religious landmarks such as the White Tower, the Arch of Galerius (Kamara), the Rotunda, the Church of Saint Demetrios, Hagia Sophia, and Perea Beach.
A weekend trip took them to Edessa, where they admired the city’s famous waterfalls and later enjoyed a relaxing visit to the Pozar Thermal Baths. These excursions deepened their connection to Greek culture and history, offering a balanced and memorable mobility experience.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the program, all participants were awarded a Certificate of Participation and the Europass Mobility Document, which formally acknowledges the competencies and skills developed during their stay in Greece.
This meaningful collaboration between Ipodomi and Obchodná Akadémia Vranov highlights the importance of vocational mobility in empowering students and enhancing their readiness for the European job market.
